No loadshedding during sehar and iftar: DG PEPCO
Reducing loadshedding during the month of fasting is PEPCO’s first priority, says DG PEPCO.

The Director General (DG) of the Pakistan Electric Power Supply Company (Pepco) Ejaz Rafiq Qureshi said on Tuesday that there would be no unscheduled loadshedding during the month of Ramazan, Express 24/7 reported.
The DG further said that reducing loadshedding during the month of fasting is PEPCO’s first priority and that there would be no loadshedding during sehar and iftar.
Qureshi said that the operational directors of all distribution companies have been directed to chalk out efficient plans in order to minimise power outages during Ramazan.
He also said that the electricity shortfall is increasing due to the shortage of furnace oil and gas, however, the government will soon add 572 megawatts of energy to the national grid.
