Responding to a fan's tweet on the origins of the song, Haroon agreed with her noting that the name was changed into Mr. Fraudiye to accommodate the broader meaning of corruption.
"Yes originally when we wrote the satirical song the chorus was “ten percent, wah ji wah tu kina set hai. Mister Ten percent, kinay paisa thuginay!” Faakhir and I decided to change the 10% line to Fraudiay to make it an anti-corruption song with a wider message," he said.
Upon hearing the reveal, fans reminisced about the song with some taking the opportunity to call for an Awaz reunion.
