ISLAMABAD: The health ministry on Thursday challenged a court decision to restore the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the position of its registrar, contending that the registrar’s deployment was contrary to rules and regulations.

In its petition, filed through the Additional Attorney General before the IHC on Thursday, the health ministry asserted that a disapproval motion was passed by the Senate against PMDC Ordinance, 2019 (Ordinance No. II of 2019) on August 29, 2019.
