Two policemen injured

FAISALABAD: Two policemen were injured after drug traffickers opened fire on them in the Kharianwala area.

ASI Mohsin Iqbal, along with three other personnel serving at Kharianwala Police Station, Adeel, Shahid and Ahsanullah, raided village 225-RB to arrest a suspected drug dealer, Anayat Nawaz Gujjar. When the drug peddlers saw the police team, they tried to flee along with some women.

Adeel and Shahid of the Eagle Squad chased them but the fleeing suspects opened fire at them. As a result, Adeel and Shahid were injured after their motorcycle slipped.
