The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) has developed hand and surface sanitisers as per the standards of the World Health Organisation (WHO) to help the public avoid coronavirus.

This step has been taken on the directions of UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf. Antibacterial and antiviral sanitisers have been developed by the UAF Department of Biochemistry.

Reportedly, they can be used for hands as well as for surfaces. The people can get the sanitisers from the UAF main gate and Molecular Care Collection Centre opposite the Institute of Business Management Sciences from 10am to 3pm.

UAF experts said that the sanitisers were developed following WHO’s directions in which high-quality chemicals were used.

They said that sanitiser works as a tool to fight the coronavirus.
