The minister further called for using local government departments for carrying out tasks pertaining to the pandemic.
He said that 11,000 volunteers from Sindh could be provided to partake in relief work and more could be assigned the responsibility if the need arose.
The provincial minister appreciated the efforts of doctors and paramedics.
"Sindh government recognises the role of Sindh Police, Pakistan Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies in implementing the directives issued by the government regarding the lockdown," he further said.
He appealed to the citizens to play their part in tackling the challenge. "We need people to cooperate during the pandemic because the scenario can worsen if they do not isolate themselves and act according to the government's guidelines," the minister said.
