While the coronavirus lockdowns have shut everyone indoors, it may still be possible to appease your longings for art. You can now take a virtual tour of museums from around the world using Google Arts and Culture.

Google cancels its April Fools’ joke this year

The search engine giant offers a virtual tour of 3,468 museums from around the world alongside history and background for many pieces of art.

Previously only 17 museums were added online along with only a few art pieces to give people around the world an insight into paintings and artifacts with a click of a button, states the company's blog.

From the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam which houses the largest collection of artworks by Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) in the world, to The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in midtown Manhattan and more, the online galleries make the works of your favourite artists easily accessible.
