Youth urged to spread Covid-19 awareness
The minister says that the youth have a great national responsibility
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mehmood on Sunday called upon the youth to play an active role in raising awareness amongst the masses about the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and urge them to adopt precautionary measures through social media platforms.Talking to a private news channel, Mahmood urged the nation, especially the youth, to impose self-discipline during these difficult times and not to panic. He assured them that through collective efforts, they will overcome the threats posed by COVID 19.
The minister said that the youth have a great national responsibility and that they must play their part in creating awareness amongst their relatives, neighbours to provide the best possible help to wipe out Covid-19.
"The only way to survive is to observe preventive measures", he added.
The government has ensured that every Coronavirus patient should go into quarantined and should be treated well, he said, adding, the incumbent government is taking corrective measures to deal with any situation.
He added that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is in contact with major universities of the country for researching Covid-19 and how to cope with it.
