ISLAMABAD: Industrialists and traders in the federal capital on Sunday assured workers and labourers that they will not be left alone during an economic meltdown and a lockdown due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ICCI) President Muhammad Ahmed said this on Sunday while chairing a consultation meeting of the executive committee of the trading body via video-link.

Ahmed urged industrialists and business community not to lay off workers and to take care of them in this difficult hour.

“ICCI has established an aid desk which will become operational from April 2,” the ICCI president said and emphasised the philanthropists and affluent people to come forward to help the unprivileged who were seeking it.
