The provincial government, meanwhile, dismissed rumours of another flour shortage in the province.

A bulletin released by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) provincial health department on the microblogging site Twitter on Sunday said that the toll of confirmed coronavirus patients in the province had increased to 192 after four new cases were reported including one each from Lower Dir and Abbottabad and two from the provincial capital of Peshawar.

He was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Abbottabad three days ago where breathed his last.

Local authorities have disinfected Ilyas’ house and the entire neighbourhood, while a special squad of the health department conducted his burial. He received a Tablighi Jammat from Turkmenistan at his home two weeks back and went with them in a mosque in Narian, He was admitted in CMH

Suspected Covid-19 patient dies

Meanwhile, a suspected Covid-19 patient died on Sunday at the quarantine centre set up in the Gomal Medical College.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Hamid, though the exact cause of his death has yet to be ascertained while results of his swab samples are awaited.

Meanwhile, DI Khan district health officer, in a letter, requested the provincial health department to expedite the tests of suspected Covid-19 patients who had been waiting for the results for the past week. A female British national of Pakistani origin who had tested positive for Covid-19 at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Science (Pims) in Islamabad, has self-isolated at her house in Kalabut area of Haripur.
