Two rapid response centres have been established in Khairpur district

SUKKUR: Two rapid response centres have been established in Khairpur district, said district health officer Dr Muhammad Hussain Abro on Saturday.

The facilities have been established in Khairpur Medical College Hospital (KMCH) and Gambat Institute of Medical and Sciences to tackle any emergency arising in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

Dr Abro advised people to contact these rapid response centres for coronavirus screening. Meanwhile, KMCH medical superintendent Dr Kaleemullah Memon said that as many as 40 pilgrims, returning from Iran and Iraq, were quarantined in the isolation wards in the hospital. He disclosed that seven of them had tested negative for COVID-19, while reports were pending for the rest.
