Coronavirus: 543 pilgrims sent back home

It was decided to send those who completed the 14-day quarantine back to their homes

DG KHAN: The phases of returning home of 543 pilgrims cleared in the coronavirus test in Dera Ghazi Khan has commenced.

It was decided to send those who completed the 14-day quarantine back to their homes. Deputy Commissioner Tahir Farooq, under his supervision, departed the pilgrims from Danish School.

Political Assistant Syed Musa Raza, ADCR Samiullah Farooq and others were also present.

Pilgrims were sent under the security of Pak Army, Rangers, police and other security forces.

As many as 466 pilgrims tested negative were sent back. Those pilgrims belong to Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad and 316 pilgrims were from Gujranwala Division.

The deputy commissioner said that 160 pilgrims from Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan and Bahawalpur divisions were sent back in seven buses early in the morning and 103 pilgrims from Dera Ghazi Khan were also taken to their homes.

Medical checkup was done before the pilgrims were sent back.
