“In addition to that, 75,000 protective eye packs, 75,000 protective masks and 4,000 protective shields would also reach the provincial capital,” the DG added.
The cabinet members stressed that coordinated efforts should be made to provide medical equipment to the districts according to their needs.
“The health and other departments should work in the right direction, otherwise the efforts would be wasted and goals may not be achieved,” CM Jam Kamal said while presiding over the meeting to review government measures in fight against coronavirus. The provision of protective kits to doctors and medical staff also came under the discussion.
The meeting also decided to set up a mechanism for the entry of wheat and other commodities trucks from other provinces into the province, to avoid any disruption in its desired route.
The mechanism of assistance for the daily-wage earner was also reviewed. The meeting was informed that the department concerned has been given the responsibility.
