‘Public cooperation needed during lockdown’

Deputy Commissioner Zulfiqar Ali calls for a joint fight against the coronavirus pandemic

RAJANPUR: The public should cooperate with district administration for implementation of lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Deputy Commissioner Zulfiqar Ali said on Thursday.

Calling for a joint fight against the coronavirus pandemic, he said citizens should stay at home as it was the only way to avert the infectious disease. “It is necessary to follow the instructions issued by the health department.”

The deputy commissioner further said that disinfection sprays were being carried out at various places by Rescue 1122, health department and municipal and town committees.

He maintained that steps for disinfection had also been taken at all hospitals, police stations, government offices, roads and markets.

“Chlorinated water and soap are also kept at offices and various other places so that the staff can wash their hands as a preventive measure.”
