Coronavirus has taught me that the West is equally ignorant: Noman Ijaz

The actor has criticised Europeans and Americans on how they have reacted to the pandemic

Popular actor Noman Ijaz in a recently surfaced video, has shared his two cents on the worldwide reaction to coronavirus pandemic. Ijaz in the video notes that the disease has unearthed the collective ignorance of the West.

The actor talks about how the "English speaking" population residing in countries like Britain and the US, are equally if not more ignorant than Pakistanis.

" Haan corona ney eik cheez be-niqab kee. Woh yeh kay mein hamesha sey yeh samajh tarha kay sirf jahalat Pakistan mein hai. Leken mazey kee baat yeh samnay aayi hai iss sari situation sey. Angrezi bolney wala bhi bohat jahil hai, (Corona has unveield one thing. Before I used to think ignorance was only present in Pakistan. But with corona now I understand that english speakers are also pretty ignorant)," he said.

Ijaz criticised the way people in Britain and US reacted to the lockdown, implying how residents of both countries raided supermarkets. In Italy's case, the actor possibly hinted that that public took too lightly during the initial stages.

However, the actor did pray for all the countries affected by the virus and hoped that the pandemic will be over soon.

In an earlier video, Ijaz had given a shoutout to all the doctors working tirelessly in the service of the public. The actor called on everybody to collectively wave the white flag in their tribute.
