Minister wants lockdown orders strictly enforced

Says no leniency would be tolerated in this regard

QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Food and Social Welfare Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran has urged the authorities to ensure implementation of directives on the lockdown to stem the tide of novel coronavirus.

“No leniency would be tolerated in this regard,” he stressed. “All tea stalls and cattle markets across the district [Barkhan] should remain open from 5am till 7pm, while grocery and pharmacy shops are exempted from this restriction. Restricted access would be given to the public transport during the lockdown” he said while addressing a meeting of Barkhan Task Force.

Barkhan DC Gul Muhammad Khilji, District Health Officer Dr Niaz Bugti, municipal committee and district council chief officers, local government assistant director and other district officers were present on the occasion.
