‘Quarantined pilgrims given every facility’

To maintain social distancing, loudspeakers were installed in the quarantine centre

MULTAN: Every possible facility is being extended to pilgrims in the quarantine centre, Deputy Commissioner Aamir Khattak has said.

He stated this while addressing the pilgrims on Wednesday. The pilgrims reportedly listened to the message of the deputy commissioner during self-isolation at the quarantine facility.

To maintain social distancing, the administration had installed loudspeakers in scattered places in the quarantine centre. A religious leader also addressed the pilgrims and urged them to maintain cleanliness during the ongoing crisis.

The DC urged the pilgrims to demonstrate unity and patience. “Keep physical distance among yourselves as it is vital to defeat the threat of coronavirus. The district administration and the whole city of Multan are standing by the pilgrims in this difficult time.”

He stated that the government was taking all possible steps to stop the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
