QUETTA: The Quetta police has launched an awareness campaign to educate the people, urging them to stay at home and avoid unnecessary travel in the wake of novel coronavirus outbreak.

“Every individual has to perform his duty during the prevailing circumstances,” SSP Operations Tariq Elahi Mastoi said during the launch of the drive titled “We stayed at work for you, you stay at home for us”.

He asked the people to remain indoors to ensure the safety of everyone and noted that in view of the current situation, the provincial government had given certain instructions to the law enforcement agencies.

“For the welfare of everyone, people should obey such orders and cooperate with the security personnel,” he said.

The spirit with which the cops are performing their duties without any fear is commendable,” he added.

He directed the SHOs and other officers concerned to ensure the implementation of the orders given by the provincial government to stem the tide of the virus.
