Madonna has yet again created a stir on social media, this time with a bizarre outlook on the coronavirus pandemic, outraging even her most die-hard fans.

Naked in a milky bathtub of floating rose petals, the Material Girl singer has declared coronavirus “the great equaliser” in the Instagram video which was blasted as 'privileged' by many via the social media platform. It has since been deleted from her Instagram feed.

The 61-year-old preached to her fans from her tub, surrounded by candles to a background of ominous instrumental music, how the pandemic doesn’t care how rich and famous you are.

Alarmingly smoothed-faced in the clip, Madonna said during the clip, "That’s the thing about COVID-19, it doesn’t care about how rich you are, how famous you are, how funny you are." She continued, “How smart you are, where you live, how old you are, what amazing stories you can tell."

Then came the part that caught her fans attention the most. “It’s the great equaliser and what’s terrible about it is what’s great about it," Madonna said, shocking her followers.

A solution to coronavirus would be halal eating and sanitation: Meera

“Like I used to say at the end of ‘Human Nature’ every night, if the ship goes down, we’re all going down together," she added with a snort, while seemingly attempting to look sultry at the same time,

Madonna, who also posted a picture of herself with the rose petals, captioned the post, “No discrimination – COVID-19!"

Naturally, the singer's strange bathtub sermon was met with a wave of negative messages from even her most ardent fans on social media.

“Sorry my queen, love you so much, but we’re not equal. We can die from the same diseases, but the poor will suffer the most. Do not romanticise nothing of this tragedy,” one fan commented on Instagram.

Another commented on Madonna's glaring 'privilege.' “Meanwhile, some are out there with bare essentials and she’s posting petalled and naked. Stop it Madonna. I love you girl but stop.”

“If the ship is going down, do you really think we’re going down together while you’re in your bathtub having people working for you to be there," one fan also replied.

It has been reported the Like a Virgin star is isolating in London with her dancer boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams and daughter Mercy James.

She recently shared a note attached to the door of a store saying the shop was out of hand sanitiser, vitamin C and hand wash, which she tagged as #Quarantine and #London.
