150 pilgrims shifted to UAF quarantine facility
All the pilgrims will be screened and their report will be ready in three days
FAISALABAD: As many as 150 pilgrims, arriving from Taftan, were shifted to the PARS campus of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF).Pilgrims were transported to the quarantine facility in seven buses.
The 150 pilgrims will be kept in quarantine for 14 days, where medical staff will perform duties in three shifts. Police and staff on duty wear gloves and masks. The pilgrims included women and children.
All these pilgrims will be screened and their report will be ready in three days.
Punjab Minister for Public Prosecution Chaudhry Zaheeruddin said that efforts are being made by the quarantine facility to curb the coronavirus situation in the district.
In this regard, the provincial minister announced a provision of 0.1 million food baskets and essential supplies to the citizens in connection with the potential lockdown.
