iPhone's Siri can now help you check for coronavirus symptoms

When you ask Siri "do I have coronavirus", the assistant will respond with a questionaire

Coronavirus paranoia has set in among people who are crowding hospitals to get themselves checked.

This mass panic is causing further spread of the virus.  To help counter the paranoia Apple has updated Siri with information about COVID-19.

A new update has been added to the digital assistant that guides people suffering from symptoms similar to the virus.

When asked Siri "do I have coronavirus", the assistant will respond with a survey that uses yes and no answers to try to guide people on potential next steps.

WHO health alert brings COVID-19 facts to billions via WhatsApp

The questionnaire being used is in accordance with the US Public Health Service in collaboration with the CDC.

The survey asks you about your symptoms as fever, dry cough or shortness of breath, dizziness, lightheadedness or slurred speech if you respond with a yes, then you are redirected to 911 call to seek medical help.

Google Maps warns to call your doctor before visiting

Those who are not suffering from such extreme symptoms are advised to stay home and isolate themselves and call medical assistance if the condition gets worse.

Apple has also added telehealth apps on the App Store. There is a list of 10 services that offer telehealth services for those unsure on which apps to use.
