A minor was among the suspects who barged into the house.
As the information spread, the Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Ahsan Younus reached the site along with contingents of police and the forensic teams collected evidence from the house.
The CPO assured the victims that all suspects would be apprehended soon and formed a police team under the supervision of Rawal SP to trace the suspects.
The police officials said that the 25-year-old Umair was killed during the robbery while his elder brother, Zubair, sustained serious injuries due to firing. Zubair, whose wedding is to take place on April 10, is under treatment in a critical condition.

The family members told The Express Tribune that the robbers cut through the grills on the door and the child went inside through that gap and unlocked the gate. Hearing the noise, Umair woke up and resisted the suspects who opened fire at him owing to which he died on the spot. Looking at his brother falling, Zubair also rushed at the robbers who also fired at him, leaving him critically injured.
The suspects unfazed by the deaths, robbed the house and fled.
The family, which was in a complete shock, was unable to tell what possessions they have lost in the incident.
The health of the victim’s father was also deteriorated and he was shifted to a hospital too.
