Bid to smuggle liquor foiled

Border Military Police arrest Dadu Pathan, an inter-provincial liquor smuggler

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Border Military Police conducted an operation along with Bawata Police Station SHO Iqbal Khan Laghari and foiled an attempt of smuggling of liquor in Dera Ghazi Khan.

The smuggler was arrested and police registered a case against him. Border Military Police, led by Head Commandant Syed Musa Raza, with the help of the Bawata police station SHO, took action on a tip-off and prevented the attempt of smuggling liquor worth of millions of rupees on a route from Balochistan to Punjab.

The Border Military Police seized a truck loaded with imported liquor. Initial investigation revealed that the imported liquor was intended for smuggling to Lahore and Islamabad. The Border Military Police also arrested Dadu Pathan, an inter-provincial liquor smuggler, and registered a case against him.
