Gang Wars: 7 killed in gangs’ clash
Police officials said that the incident involved a long standing rivalry between two Gujjar clans in the district.

Seven people were gunned down while another was injured over an old rivalry near Adda Kot Murad on Tuesday. According to police officials, seven people were returning after appearing in a court when unidentified assailants waylaid them and opened fire at their vehicle near Chowk Azam, Layyah Road. Police officials said that the incident involved a long standing rivalry between two Gujjar clans in the district and that the victims had been returning from court after having recently filed a property theft case against the accused. Abid Hussain, Muhammad Asif, Zulfiqar Ali, their lawyer Chaudhry Sarwar Gujjar and four others were killed on the spot in the shooting, while their driver Muhammad Tariq received bullet injuries. Chowk Azam police have sent the bodies to the hospital for a postmortem. Further investigations are underway.
