As film shootings grind to a halt in India and around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic, Bollywood filmmakers are registering film titles related to coronavirus according to Hindustan Times.

Production and distribution house Eros International has registered a title ‘Corona Pyaar Hai’ and is now working on the sensitive love story against the backdrop of this pandemic, according to Gulf News.

Krishna Lulla from Eros had confirmed the same to several Indian outlets including Times of India and Mid Day last week in Mumbai.

An industry source has revealed that the scripting of this film will begin as soon as the concept is finalised, given that the project is bound to contain a staunch social message.

The idea, however, is still in its nascent stages and "work will begin once the relevant authorities give their directive to re-start filming," said the industry expert.

But Kaho Na Pyaar Hai director Rakesh Roshan isn’t impressed with the Corona Pyaar Hai title, as the word battles the virus outbreak. Roshan, who launched his son in 2000 with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, labelled the title registration as a ‘mockery’.

“It’s a mockery of the situation that the world is combating. It’s childish and immature to do such a thing at this time. We should ignore these people as they are not thinking straight,” said Roshan in an interview to Mid Day.

Reports also claim that a film titled Deadly Corona has also been registered and Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association also claimed that they have witnessed a rush in producers wanting to lock in titles with the word Corona in it.
