Priyanka Chopra urges fans to rely on credible sources for information on coronavirus

Amidst the necessary information, several unreliable sources are spreading fake news increasing the panic

It is safe to say that WHO has never been more active and the world is on the verge of becoming a medical hub. With the novel coronavirus on the loose, each an every individual is busy picking out a cure of their choice until an actual cure is discovered.

However, owing to the growing concerns, dealing with the deadly pandemic is becoming even more difficult since a lot of misinformation is circulating around social media.

Amidst all the necessary information, several unreliable sources are spreading fake news which is adding to the panic and confusion. Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra, who is also the Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, took to social media to raise awareness about the same.

The celebrity urged her followers to trust UNICEF and wrote, “Misinformation during a health crisis can leave us unprotected, spread fear and panic. Knowing the facts is key to protecting yourself and your family. Visit the UNICEF website for reliable information on how to talk to children about coronavirus”.

Priyanka had also shared how she is spending her time indoors amidst the outbreak, posting pictures with her dog in her lap. She captioned the post saying, "Staying home during this time is the safest thing to do. @ginothegerman giving mommy hugs makes it so much better."
