Did Disney allude to the COVID-19 outbreak in 'Tangled'?

Buckle up, you're in for a ride with this theory

Amid all the coronavirus outbreak panic around the globe, there's one discovery that has made us go all 'are you kidding me?!' on Disney.

We're sure you remember the beloved 2010 spin on the classic Rapunzel story, Tangled. Now, a certain Twitter user has discovered a strangely coincidental link between the pandemic and the much-loved fairy-tale.

As pointed out by Twitter user @secretmoments13Tangled's Rapunzel is kept isolated in a tower. Sounds familiar? Of course - the whole world is being asked to practice social distancing and self-isolation in the wake of the virus' outbreak.

Now, there's more to it. You must also remember that her step-mother wanted to 'shield' her from the kingdom, so that no-one could get to Rapunzel. Care to know what the kingdom she was being isolated from was named?

You guessed it - the kingdom was named Corona. Essentially meaning that Rapunzel was kept in isolation to shield her from Corona. Now that sounds familiar!

Mindblown? So was ours! While it is a reach to say that Disney predicted the global outbreak, it sure is interesting to note the coincidence!
