Public awareness campaign for coronavirus

QUETTA: Presiding over a meeting pertaining to coronavirus on Monday, the Chief Secretary Balochistan Captain (retd) Fazeel Asghar relayed that the provincial government is taking emergency measures to protect the people apart from making the general public aware of the prevailing disease.

During the meeting, he said that a person can only be protected by the coronavirus if they take precautionary measures from beforehand. “People can stop the virus from spreading by refusing to attend public gatherings, restaurants or other events.”

He further directed the provincial health secretary to arrange public awareness campaigns through billboards on the precautionary measures given and a public awareness campaign on the virus.

The meeting was informed that 2797 pilgrims were presently placed at the Taftan Border, out of which 413 are from Balochistan province and the rest who belong to other provinces will be sent after quarantine.
