A maid allegedly robbed a family of jewellery and other valuables in Gulistan-e-Johar on Sunday.
According to Obaid, a member of the looted family, the maid had told them that she would be cleaning the cupboards but instead broke the drawers' locks in the cupboards and stole jewellery and other valuables. Later, she left the house saying that she was needed at her home urgently, he said, adding that the family came to know of the robbery when they saw the cupboard doors open and locks broken.
Meanwhile, in separate incidents, robbers plundered a medical store in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and a house in Quaidabad. The stolen goods include mobile phones, laptops and other items.
