Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has released a video on Twitter to confirm that he has recovered after testing positive for the novel coronavirus.

Hudson-Odoi became the first player from Premier League to be tested positive for COVID-19.

"Hi guys. As you may be aware, I had the virus for the last couple of days, which I’ve recovered from. I’m following the health guidelines and self-isolating myself from everybody for the week.

"I hope to see everybody soon and hopefully be back on the pitch very soon. Take care."

The Premier League has been suspended until at least April 3 after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and many other players were also tested positive.

Meanwhile, multiple sporting events across the world have been either suspended or cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
