All educational institutes closed for three weeks

Authorities also announced that all marriage halls, banquets will remain closed for three weeks

LAHORE: Meanwhile, the Punjab government announced the closure of all public and private educational institutes ie schools, colleges, universities and technical and vocational institutions and seminaries for three weeks with immediate effect. All the examinations which were scheduled in the coming three weeks have also been cancelled.

The authorities also announced that all marriage halls and banquets would remain closed for a period of three weeks.

All religious congregations, public gatherings and ceremonies would be suspended for the period. The government has also announced to cancel Jashan-e-Bahran and other spring festivals. All public and private sports festivals have also been cancelled.

Meanwhile, the meetings with prisoners have also been banned for three weeks. The PSL matches will be played without crowds. All departments concerned have been directed to issue detailed instructions and guidelines for effective implementation of the decision.
