With the coronavirus epidemic getting out of hand, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is providing support to a project that will provide at-home coronavirus test kits to those at risk in the Seattle area.

The result of the test comes in a day or two and those who are infected with the deadly virus can simply fill out a form that can assist them with anything that they need to know.

The goal of the project is to process thousands of tests a day to let people know if they have been infected with the diseases, told Scott Dowell, leader of the coronavirus response team at the Gates foundation to The Seattle Times.

The foundation has pledged $100 million in order to fight the deadly coronavirus outbreak which will primarily be used to fund vaccine research and use it to prevent the spread of the virus.

"One of the most important things from our perspective, having watched and worked on this in other parts of the world, is the identification of people who are positive for the virus, so they can be safely isolated and cared for, and the identification of their contacts, who can then be quarantined," Dowell told The Times.

The release date of the at-home testing project is still unclear but the foundation is actively working to have the software upgraded in order to cater to requests.

"Although there's a lot to be worked out, this has enormous potential to turn the tide of the epidemic," Dowell told The Times.

"The good news is that with advances in biotechnology, new vaccines and drugs can help prevent epidemics from spreading out of control," Gates said in 2017.

For many years Bill gates have been warning everyone that a deadly disease like coronavirus would infect would wipe out 30 million people in less than a year.
