The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Monday said that at least 28 people have been killed and 65 injured during the recent catastrophic rain spell.
Apart from the human casualties, some 67 cattle are also reported to have been killed in different rain-related incidents across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
Rains also caused partial damage to at least 255 houses while 27 were completely devastated, the officials said.
Fresh casualties
Locals told The Express Tribune on Monday that the roof of a house collapsed in the Barkalay neighbourhood of Khal tehsil in Upper Dir district on Monday, killing two minors.
The victims’ father, Asghar, said that his children, including six-year-old Danish and two-year-old Aiza, were sleeping in their room when its roof caved in.
