LAHORE:
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that those attempting to destabilise the country at this juncture cannot be well-wishers of the country and its people.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the country is getting stronger with each passing day,” he said during meetings with former provincial minister Abdul Aleem Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) delegations on Monday. The provincial minister, PTI MNA Chaudhry Tahir Iqbal and other delegations called on the governor and discussed the political situation, government affairs and other issues.

The governor remarked, “I advise Maulana Fazalur Rehman and the Pakistan Peoples Party to wait till the next general elections, in 2023 as we cannot be ousted through any protests or demonstrations.”

Previous protests, demonstrations and march led by Maulana Fazlur Rehman did not bring any change, nor will it bring a change this time as the government is not weakened by such moves, the governor claimed. “The opposition’s dream of an in-house change will never come true.”
