LAHORE: Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid has said the former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will soon be exposed when a verdict in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) case is announced by an accountability court.

“The PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will also never be able to win election in Punjab,” Rashid said while addressing a press conference at the railways headquarters on Saturday.

Rashid said Bilawal himself was “selected”. He was responding to a question with regard to the PPP chairman’s recent statements in which he described the top leaders of both the PML-N and the ruling PTI as being “selected” by the powers that be.

“Was it possible for him to become the party chairman in the presence of senior PPP leaders like Qamar Zaman Kaira, Sardar Latif Khosa, Aitzaz Ahsan and Raza Rabbani,” he said.

Commenting on inflation, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan would soon give good news on the country’s economy.

The minister called for strengthening the top graft buster – the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) – and emphasized that NAB should hire the best lawyers to deal with the culprits with an iron fist.
