Four junior tennis players employed by ZTBL.

KARACHI:

Pakistan’s top four junior tennis players have been employed by the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL), according to the Pakistan Tennis Federation Acting President Irshad Bhatti.

Mohammad Abid, Iman Qureshi, Faizan Khurram and Sara Manzoor were contacted by the department during the Aisamul Haq Masters Championship and their performance has earned them a job with ZTBL.

Abid said the recruitment will help him financially.

“I told my parents that I wanted to play tennis professionally,” Abid told The Express Tribune. “They thought I’ll quit one day since no one can make a career out of it. But this has given me a chance to make my passion a career as well.”

Meanwhile, Bhatti said that this was a welcome sign for the future of tennis in Pakistan.
