Having spent a good four decades in Bollywood, Anil Kapoor is at a stage where he misses his early days in the industry.

The actor opened up about his feelings with Hindustan Times, looking back at the strong connections he has made in Bollywood. "I do pause and look back at the early phase of my career. I don’t try to recreate those days but I do miss working with people who are no more," reminisced Anil.

Being one of the most successful actors in India, with a number of hits splashed across each decade - from Nayak and Ram Lakhan to Mr. India, Loafer and Slumdog Millionaire - Anil has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry.

"I miss Amrish Puri, Sridevi, Anand Bakshi (late lyricist) and Laxmikant (Berde; late actor). I miss the way we used to work together," he said, noting big names he got a chance to work with.

He continued saying, "There are so many directors who I never got the chance of collaborating with again. But everybody moves on and life goes on."

His contemporaries passing on has, however, not stopped Anil from continuing to deliver hits and paving a way for his kids, Sonam, Rhea and Harshvardhan. “It’s just the beginning for my children – Sonam, Rhea and Harsh. They’ve just started working. And I’m confident that they are going to do even better work in the future.”
