Fighting crime: Police foil attempted kidnapping
KARACHI:
An attempted kidnapping and robbery was foiled by the motorway police on Friday. “The robbers had intercepted a truck heading from Hyderabad towards Karachi when it crossed the Kotri toll plaza,” said a police spokesperson. “The police was patrolling the area caught the robbers red handed.” The robbers who were later identified as Nasrullah and Naimatullah opened fire on the police and managed to escape. According to the police, the truck was carrying more than 300 bags of flour with an estimated value of Rs0.7 million.
