The provincial minister expressed these views while talking to a Punjab Teachers Union's delegation on Thursday.
He said the policy would benefit teachers especially women who had moved to distant places to educate students.
“Women teachers will be adjusted at schools within a five kilometres range, while men will be adjusted at schools situated within 10km distance from their homes,” Dr Raas explained.

The minister said he had ordered policymakers to depute at least four teachers at each primary school. Widows, differently-abled teachers and those nearing their retiring age would remain unaffected by the policy, he said.
The Punjab Teachers Union chairman and general secretary put forth their reservations over some clauses that are likely to be incorporated in the rationalisation policy.
Additional Secretary Beenish Fatima and members of the Punjab Information Technology Board also participated in the meeting.
