Assistant sub inspector among three arrested
ACE team arrested them on corruption charges
FAISALABAD:
The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested three persons, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police, on the charge of corruption, abuse of powers and taking illegal gratification from citizens.
An ACE spokesperson said on Wednesday that a team arrested ASI Mohammad Hamza as he was wanted in a case of misappropriating 15,000 dirhams and Rs43,000 of a citizen.
The ACE team also arrested Muharrar Sumbal Sarfraz on corruption charges. Meanwhile, Metropolitan Corporation driver Mohammad Haneef was caught receiving bribe from a vendor for returning his confiscated cart.
The accused were sent behind bars and further investigation is underway.
