KARACHI: The Sindh Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has decided strictly monitor government, semi-government, civic, and autonomous bodies, engaged in any type of industrial, commercial or manufacturing activity in Sindh, ensuring that they comply with environmental laws.

This was decided during a meeting on Wednesday, which further decided that hospitals and industries across Sindh would be monitored by SEPA and no leniency would be shown to any violators of environmental laws.

"Our basic objective is to ensure that all organisations comply [with the law] whether they are private or public," stated SEPA Director-General Naeem Ahmed Mughal.
