During the MWC-replacement virtual launch event, Huawei also revealed 5G version of the MatePad Pro, new laptops and smart home devices as well as a bunch of updates to its Huawei Mobile Services ecosystem and the App Gallery.
Given that the P40 series will be equipped with 5G, the device will be powered by the Kirin 990 5G SoC which was previously installed in Mate 30 Pro.
However, this series will not have Google apps and services after the US banned American companies from working with parent company Huawei due to national security concerns.
