Sajal Aly, Ahad Raza Mir now own a football team in the UK

The tournament is set to start in June 2020

Pakistan film industry's popular couple, Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Ali, recently uploaded an announcement on their Instagram, leaving their fans baffled. The two have officially become the co-owners of IPL SOCCER team — Derby Crusaders — along with Noreen Khan of the UK and Simran Singh.

Sajal wrote on her Instagram post, “Feeling proud to announce Derby Crusaders - the fourth and final IPLSOCCER team with Ahad Raza Mir, and Noreen Khan named as my co-owners.”

She added, “I've always been wanting to promote and support sports for girls in Pakistan. This is my step in doing so.”

The Ehd-e-Wafa actor also shared the same poster on his Instagram saying, “I've always been a huge soccer fan so naturally I'm thrilled to announce the fourth and final IPLSOCCER team. My team!”

Ahad added ecstatically, “The Derby Crusaders! I know IPLSoccer will give me the chance to better connect with my fans in the UK and I'm hopeful that I can use the experience from being part of this league to help promote soccer in Pakistan. See you at IPL."

The IPL Soccer teams include Derby, Birmingham, Leicester and London. It is a seven-a-side indoor football competition with all its teams owned by various celebrities. The tournament will kick off in June 2020.
