At least 10,000 police officials, including 16 SPs, 34 DSPs and 103 inspectors will perform duty during the matches to ensure the security of the national and international players as well as spectators visiting the stadium to enjoy the matches.
Under the plan, the police will make efforts to least disturb the business activities during the matches and roads will be closed only during the travel of the teams to the stadium and back.
Three-layer security will be provided to the spectators who will only be allowed to enter the stadium after complete checking. They will not be allowed to bring any prohibited item with them.
Round the clock monitoring of the places of stay of teams, routes and movement of players and citizens in and around the stadium will be ensured through CCTV cameras. Dolphin Squad, Elite and Police Response Unit teams will continue patrolling around the specific areas of the city. Snipers will be deployed on the rooftops to keep an eye on activities during the matches. Search and sweep operations are being conducted on a daily basis in the city, particularly around the cricket stadium and designated areas. Police are maintaining liaison and coordination with related departments, including the district government and law enforcement agencies for maximum security arrangements.
