LAHORE: In a meeting with CCPO Zulfiqar Hameed, a delegation of Pakistan Tax Bar Association (PTBA) has agreed to disseminate awareness regarding income tax returns among police officers.

PTBA Secretary Farhan Shahzad briefed the CCPO about organisational activities.

The CCPO praised the bar’s efforts to increase the tax base in the country. He said a large number of police personnel have become filers in the light of government directives.

“Becoming a filer will not only broaden the tax net but also fulfil a legal requirement,” the CCPO added. Shahzad said over 400,000 people had e-filed their tax returns recently. He said the PTBA represents the entire country through its 32 tax bars.

Vice President Sohail Akhtar and others were also present during the meeting.
