International martial arts meet next month in Balochistan

Govt would hold Balochistan games while the renovation work of Ayub Stadium was also in progress

ISLAMABAD: Balochistan government will organise sports events at divisional level to promote healthy activities among the youth.

The government has planned to hold International Martial Arts competition in Quetta in March, an official of the Balochistan government told APP on Wednesday.

He said the provincial government was providing full support to the youth of Balochistan to help them exhibit their abilities to the world. It would establish an international level sports complex and stadium, in this regard, in every district of the province to provide sports facilities to the youth, he added.

He said the government would hold Balochistan games while the renovation work of Ayub Stadium was also in progress. He said the government had planned to earmark Rs7 billion for the construction of playgrounds in all the districts of the province, adding the work would start soon.

The official said the government had been working for the land allocation in every district and the project would be completed in three years, adding that the provincial government had been working to allocate special funds for extending sports facilities to involve the youth in sports and healthy activities in the province.
