Search operation launched in Swat against militants

Curfew also imposed in areas to avoid civilian casualties.

The security forces launched a search operation in the Swat valley to flush out militants from the area on Saturday.

The operation was launched in Sair Teergram, Malam Jabba and adjacent areas in Minglore, while a curfew was also imposed in these areas.

The locals were directed through loud-speakers to stay indoors to avoid civilian casualties.

The security forces have been making all-out efforts to clear Swat from militants since 2009.

Meanwhile, the forces claim to have cleared most of the region from militants.
