ISLAMABAD: Relations between Iran and Pakistan, in all fields, are on an upward trajectory and there is major potential for greater cooperation between the two neighbours, especially in trade.

This was stated by Iran Ambassador M Ali Hosseini at an event to mark the 41st anniversary of the Islamic revolution in Iran.

The ambassador further said that the execution of the gas pipeline project, export of power from Iran to Pakistan with a flourishing of border trade are some projects which can be in the interest of the two nations and provide a strong basis for strengthening and promotion of bilateral relations.

He said that Iran has been facing hostilities in various forms for the past four decades.

Despite all these problems, he said that Iran has made progress in all fields including science, technology, industry and defence and has achieved high rankings in the world.
