Mirza and her husband, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik brought their baby by, Izhaan, into the world in December 2018. It is is the couples first child.
On Instagram, the tennis star went on to explain her struggles to maintain her ideal weight after giving birth. "To get back to being healthy and fit after having a baby, feels like such a long way. To come back and regain fitness and being able to compete at the highest level again."

Mirza also advised her fans to follow their dreams. She wrote, “Follow your dreams. No matter how many people tell you, you can’t cause God knows how many of those we have around is.”
