Shamim Chowdhury felt uneasy when he was commenting on fourth day of Pakistan-Bangladesh Test match

RAWALPINDI: After providing immediate first aid to international cricket commentator Shamim Chowdhury, whose blood pressure shot high during Pakistan Bangladesh Test match, Rescue 1122 team received heaps of praises during live match on Monday.

According to sources, Chowdhury felt uneasy, right when he was commenting on the fourth day of the game. Following which the rescue team, present at the stadium, was called for immediate medical aid.

Responding right on time, the relief workers treated Chowdhury and advised him to rest for half an hour by giving a blood pressure control pill.

Later, when the commentator's blood pressure returned to normal, Chowdhury along with Ramiz Raja — who accompanied him during the commentary — called Rescue 1122 personnel Mohammad Omar in the commentary box to pay their heartfelt gratitude for responding efficiently while commending Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi team for their timely efforts.

Pakistan completed a crushing innings and 44-run victory over Bangladesh on the fourth morning on Monday, taking a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 168 in their second innings after resuming the day on 126-6 as Pakistan's pace and spin attack was too hot to handle despite a flat Rawalpindi stadium pitch.
